SR Liability Adjuster- PERM HIRE- in Lake Mary, FL or remote from anywhere in Florida

Description:​Responsible for the investigation, evaluation, settlement and disposition of the most complex and highest exposure claims including auto liability, general liability, employers’ liability, professional liability, law enforcement liability.   This includes the investigation, determination and evaluation of coverage, liability and damages, and the setting of proper reserves. Administer all lines of liability claims pursuant to company and State regulations.

Primary/Essential Duties and Functions: Conduct prompt, accurate investigations of liability claims, interview all relevant parties to obtain loss events facts and to establish liability; handle claims files to final resolutions. • Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process. 

Develop settlement/litigation/defense strategies by evaluating factual information to settle claims in a cost-effective manner; work with defense attorneys and clients per account handling guidelines.• Prepare for and assume lead roles in collaboration with defense counsel during mediations, arbitrations and trial

Effectively handle subrogation on liability claims. Identify and notify responsible third parties of their potential exposures and follow for reimbursement of amounts owed to clients. • Examine and address claim files reserves for accuracy. • Produce and review prepared and on-demand claims and status reports with clients. • Maintain current knowledge of laws and statutes pertinent to liability claims handling. 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:  5+ years handling all aspects of Litigated Liability claims and subrogation with a consistent high level of performance and achievement. 

• Commercial lines property, general liability, auto liability, bodily injury, complex and professional liability claims experience required.

• Extensive knowledge of applicable statutes, accepted industry standards and practices. • Ability to successfully and skillfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims, including the ability to interpret related documentation.  • Must be able to attend and effectively participate in mediations, claim reviews, status meetings with clients as necessary. 

Minimum Qualifications:  5+ years handling all aspects of liability claims and subrogation with a consistent high level of performance and achievement.

• Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20) and/or as required by any other state in which handling claims •

Willing to travel for mediations, to accounts for status reporting, to accident scenes or loss locations for investigation purposes, as necessary.
