Commercial Lines Account Manager (Junior)

Remote (must reside in Florida)

$50,000 to $65,000 base, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

A growing independent insurance agency is adding a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a $6M premium generalist commercial book. The book leans heavily into real estate, with a solid mix of construction, technology, and professional services accounts.

The senior account manager currently runs the entire book from onboarding through renewal. This hire steps in as her right hand, taking ownership of the processing side so the team can grow. You will learn a full commercial book from someone who knows every account in it.

This is a true development role. The agency has a track record of hiring sharp, coachable people early in their careers and building them into strong account managers. If you want to learn commercial lines the right way and grow with a small team, this is a strong starting point.

What You Will Do

  • Process renewals, endorsements, and policy changes in Applied Epic
  • Review client contracts and insurance requirements before issuing certificates of insurance, making sure coverage matches what is required
  • Issue and track COIs with a high standard for accuracy
  • Handle data entry and keep account records clean and current in Epic
  • Prepare and complete supplemental applications for renewals and new business
  • Manage the renewal cycle workflow: gathering underwriting information, organizing submissions, and tracking deadlines
  • Support the senior account manager on client service requests across the book
  • Build working knowledge of real estate, construction, and professional services coverages

What We Are Looking For

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in insurance or a related field
  • Applied Epic experience at a working or foundational level (required)
  • Coachable and eager to learn, with the drive to work independently once trained
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with documents, contracts, and data
  • Clear, professional communicator in writing and on the phone
  • Must reside in Florida (fully remote role)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $50,000 to $65,000, depending on experience
  • Medical insurance with 80% of premium paid by the company
  • Dental and vision insurance 100% company paid

Why This Role

  • Learn a full commercial book from start to finish, not one narrow slice of it
  • Small team, direct access to leadership, and real visibility for good work
  • Clear growth path as the agency expands

Years of experience

  • 1 - 2 years of experience

Salary range

  • $50,000 - $65,000 per year
