Aon is looking to welcome a growth-focused and data-driven consultant to support our Data Solutions team, concentrating on clients in the Technology sector. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with technology companies and their job architectures, clearly articulates value propositions at the intersection of compensation data and consulting, and is confident in developing insights from large, complex datasets and turning them into compelling market trends and narratives for prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Strong candidates will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in rewards by working with compensation survey products and data, sharing stories of managing client engagements, and building and championing strong client relationships.
Preferred locations for the role include San Francisco, Santa Clara, and the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

What the day will look like
Technology Industry Growth
- Assist and grow Data Solutions revenue, client participation, and generate referrals to Talent Advisory and the broader Human Capital Solutions business.
- Expand data coverage under the Global Strategy Framework in collaboration with other Data and Analytics Leaders, Regional Sector Leaders, and other stakeholders across Talent Solutions.
- Identify growth opportunities, including: New Markets, Expanded Products & Services, Product and Feature Adoption by Existing Clients, and Increased Share of Wallet.
Demonstrable Subject Matter Expertise
- Enhance client relationships by acting as an internal and external subject matter expert through 1:1 interactions and at scale.
- Articulate the Aon Talent Solutions value proposition and partner with sales to close new business.
- Provide sector expertise and guidance to Aon's client success managers and enterprise leaders.
- Support the end-to-end needs of the clients.
- Provide proactive technology sector-specific scaled client relationship management.
Industry-Focused Analysis
- Develop a working understanding of compensation trends and organizational structures in Technology.
- Provide data insights and trends on the Technology industry to client groups and showcase insights across other industries and sectors
- Lead an industry trends webinar series and other client events focused on compensation and market practice trends for rewards/compensation professionals.
- Establish market presence through speaking engagements and articles published within Technology sector channels.
Client Support & Leadership
- Apply industry knowledge to contextualize data and identify meaningful insights for clients.
- Support benchmarking and analytics projects with a focus on relevance and accuracy for sector-specific needs.
- Support client relationship management and support activities across Technology clients
Advisory Support & Collaboration
- Partner with consultants and stakeholders to deliver timely and impactful compensation benchmarking and organizational consulting (OC) engagements.
- Project Management consulting / advisory engagements
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify data issues and propose solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, offshore, tech, business) to ensure smooth data flow and issue resolution.
- Contribute to the development of tools and templates that enhance data analysis and reporting.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 7+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or other related areas of human resources preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in project management preferred.
- Data management skills, process orientation, and attention to detail are critical.
- Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative).
- Able to work under tight deadlines while prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related subjects (Business, Finance, Human Resources).
- MBA (or equivalent) and CCP (or equivalent) preferred.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
