Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

1What Is the Opportunity?
Business Performance Analytics teams at Travelers leverage descriptive and diagnostic analytics and business knowledge to identify actionable insights and influence strategy. As a Sr Manager, Business Performance Analytics, you will use data and analytics conduct complex analyses to quantify insights, identify opportunities, and influence strategic business decisions. You will design actionable, meaningful success metrics, and monitor and evaluate outcomes to identify further optimization opportunities and communicate business results across various audiences and leadership teams. Leveraging your deep understanding of the business, you will act as a collaborative partner across various functional areas to consult on business priorities, optimize value through solution identification aligned with business strategies and ensure future data direction.What Will You Do?
- Serve as a vital liaison between backend IT & data partners and BI Product Analytics business partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Act as a voice of input in ongoing discussions and efforts to modernize Business Insurance data within Travelers.
- Translate current workflows and project timelines from the Tech side to analytics business partners, facilitating a clear understanding of the data structure's current state.
- Collaborate with each line of business within BI Product Analytics to understand their unique data needs and translate these into a standardized data structure.
- Influence the design of modern architecture requirements, ensuring they meet the needs of BI Product Analytics.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for new data solutions and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Develop consumption capability patterns to enhance data utilization and integration across the organization.
- Prototype and implement post-monitoring solutions to track and improve data system performance and reliability.
- Leverage a background or understanding of analytics, business insurance, and data architecture to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and drive business value through data modernization initiatives.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Five years of descriptive analytics or related experience working in the P&C industry with knowledge of insurance products and concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Business, or related.
- One year of leading projects or teams.
- Experience using and building business intelligence tools.
- Deep understanding of business functions, operations, analytic functions and/or product of supported business line with the ability to translate insights into business value.
- Experience using descriptive and diagnostic analytic processes, including multi-variate analysis, data quality, data reporting, and data retrieval.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present technical data and trends impacting the business.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners and maintain productive professional relationships.
- Awareness and adherence to established data management practices and standards.
- Strategic analytical and business mindset.

- Four years relevant analytics experience required.
