REGIONAL SALES EXECUTIVE – REAL ESTATE & HOTEL UMBRELLA

JOB SUMMARY

We’re seeking a Regional Sales Executive to lead outreach to retail agencies and brokerages, and grow a specific geographic territory. Distinguished partners with a select group of highly rated insurance companies to provide exclusive programs to our national network of 4,000 agencies and brokerages. This role is responsible for maximizing the broker/agent production of our unsupported Real Estate & Hotel Umbrella programs in the Southeast territory, and work with our Underwriting and Marketing teams to achieve this goal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a business plan that maximizes new business production. Focus will be balanced between creating new customer relationships as well as deepening relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify retail agencies and brokers in designated territory who have as clients / prospects potential customers for our products.
  • Meet with retail brokers face to face monthly.
  • Make prospecting calls weekly to existing and potential brokers.
  • Review, clear, and qualify all submissions received.
  • Gather and document competitive intelligence on other markets and which brokers use those markets and why.
  • Input all prospecting activity in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Participate in networking events in the insurance and client community.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of retail agency and brokerage operations.
  • Minimum 5 years insurance experience - proven ability to sell P&C insurance at a retail or wholesale level.
  • Brokers license in Property and Casualty in state of domicile.
  • Relationships with retail brokers and agents in the southeast territory.
  • Proficiency in understanding and keeping up to date personal sales ratios (with demonstrated insight on why the results are good, and where they can improve).
  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable coverage, policy language, and risk management concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce (or similar CRM), Microsoft Sync, Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and enterprise software.
  • Working knowledge of insurance pricing and rating concepts; claims operations; loss control operations, etc.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Must have a quite, professional home office.

LOCATION

Preferred location is Atlanta, GA but would consider another major city that is centralized within the southeastern states region in the Eastern time zone. This is a remote position.

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

  • $120,000 - $140,000 base salary plus uncapped quarterly commission. Base salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
