Position Summary:

 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting functions including general ledger accounting and accounts payable. This position will support the monthly general ledger close process, as well as any other support necessary within the Accounting Department.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

Prepare month-end journal entries Reconcile account schedules Perform monthly bank reconciliations in a timely manner; propose solutions for reconciling items to manager Assist with month-end financial review/reporting and financial statement preparation Responsible for regulatory and statutory accounting and reporting Assist with responses to and resolve all inquiries related to statutory returns and reports Assist with the preparation of the external statutory audit Prepare the annual financial statement in an accurate and timely manner Assist in preparing the monthly/quarterly balance sheet analysis Monitor balances between systems to ensure completeness and accuracy Support management with assignments and/or special projects Proactively seek areas to improve the statutory reporting process and external audit and related internal processes Perform other related duties as assigned
