IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Supervisor, Commercial Auto Claims that can report to one of the following IAT locations:

  • Raleigh, North Carolina
  • Rolling Meadows, Illinois
  • Naperville, Illinois
  • Omaha, Nebraska
  • Alpharetta, Georgia
  • Sarasota, Florida

This role will provide leadership to staff handling commercial auto litigated and non-litigated cases. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise 6-8 claims adjusters on daily duties
  • Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
  • Evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring team and individual work activities, in order to inform management of current status of those work activities.
  • Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Bachelors' degree with 5+ years of relevant claims experience or equivalent
  • Equivalent is defined as 9+ years of relevant commercial auto claims experience
  • 3+ years Claims Management experience. We will consider candidates with appropriate IAT claims experience in lieu of management experience
  • Experience working with the New York Metro Court System
  • Experience in handling and understanding issues with MCS-90 in the policy form
  • Experience managing litigation adjusters
  • Experience managing remote employees
  • Must have negotiation experience
  • Strong litigation management skills
  • Strong coverage experience
  • Experience identifying elements of fraud and identifying recovery opportunities
  • Ability to travel
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes

Preferred to Have:

  • Insurance designations such as AIC, ARM, CPCU
