Job Summary

Join our Enterprise Risk Management team. Responsible for working with the Accounting, Investment, and Actuarial Departments to prepare various capital models for the Company and provide recommendations for steps that can be taken to maximize capital efficiency. Close contact with Group Risk Management Area in MAPFRE SA and will be the key contact for questions related to solvency and capital requirements/models. Assists with the preparation of key reports from the ERM Department including the Audit Committee KPI Report and parts of the annual ORSA Report. Finally, supports the Company’s renewal of its reinsurance program by working with reinsurance brokers on CAT modeling and data gathering.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience. Experience: 2-4 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4-6 years.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Knowledge of the insurance industry helpful
• Monitoring solvency position using internal and external capital models including reports to regulator
• Analyzing dividend capacity based on company budget
• Collaborating in the annual reinsurance programs renewals
• Assisting to Management with reports preparation for several committees
• Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills required
• Quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills
• Intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work collaboratively with other functional areas
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skill
