Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$95,400.00 - $157,500.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Provide product management support in all aspects of the Crime & Kidnap & Ransom product lines within Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance. Support the development and communication of product line strategies, support Business Units in achieving budgeted financial results and increase market penetration.

What Will You Do?

  • Provide strategy support to the group of Product Managers responsible for the Management Liability products.
  • Under the guidance of the Crime & Kidnap & Ransom Product Management Lead support strategies targeted to increase profitable growth through new business production, improvement in loss results, workflow improvement and other strategic priorities. 
  • Research and develop creative strategies to grow the business in profitable segments including new coverage offerings and product enhancements.   
  • Collaborate with Field, Underwriting, Claim, Actuarial, Legal, Regulatory, R&D and Product Development to maintain the highest standards of product profitability, marketability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify profitable growth opportunities through analysis of results and segmentation of the business.
  • Work with Business Performance Analytics team to use data queries to provide insight into business performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and update underwriting and guideline materials and support product communications.
  • Undertake research to support various strategic priorities and develop recommendations for Product Managers.
  • Expand market intelligence regarding competitor product offerings, rates and appetite.
  • Support Product Managers to develop and lead digital product offering, using results data and tools to monitor and manage.
  • Support the training and deployment of automation/FLT.
  • Support Product Management strategic initiatives in conjunction with Business Insurance to develop solutions for customers who want to purchase P&C and BSI products.
  • Lead change, diversity and inclusion across the business.


  • Support Product Managers to develop and amend existing products, applications, and endorsements along with associated underwriting strategy and business rules.  
  • Support the creation and maintenance of all product-related content to ensure that materials are clear, consistent, concise, organized and delivered in a relatable manner.
  • Support development of higher standards for all Portfolio Management presentations and PPTs.
  • Provide support and direction to underwriters in their decision making relative to specific accounts. 
  • Leverage data and analytics to make recommendations and strategic decisions.

Marketing / Communication / Customer Service:

  • Support media opportunities including press releases, articles/white papers and interview requests.  
  • Proactively develop and amend marketing materials, risk management services, and continuing education classes.  
  • Participate in producer and industry functions as a Travelers, and industry, expert in the product line.

What is a Must Have?

  • Minimum of 5 years of equivalent work and/or industry experience.
