We are growing our Commercial Lines Business.  Great opportunity to lead the team through this expansion. 

Responsible for working with assigned underwriting staff, provides direction and support to ensure profitable growth in line with the Regional and Corporate Strategic objectives. Follows standard principles and practices established by the Company. Identifies systems and procedures that will improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of the department's operational performance. Directs the efforts of the department to assure quality agency relations are maintained, and works to assure each agent grows a profitable book of business. Collaborates with Product Management, Business Development, and National Underwriting, IT and the Commercial Services Department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• We are looking for solid Commercial Lines knowledge, with at least 9+ years in Insurance, relevant to Commercial lines. At least 3 of those years in prior Commercial Underwriting supervisory or management experience. Ability to work collaboratively with other functional areas. Working knowledge of new business, product marketing, rate setting, product management, IT, policy services and communications.
