Job Summary
Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual reinsurance cession procession, accounting, administration and regulatory reporting of the Company's reinsurance portfolio. Assist Supervisor and co-workers, as directed, with functions pertaining to reinsurance accounting controls and processes.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET.  / Hybrid schedule available 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required.
Experience: Knowledge commensurate with at least one year of reinsurance accounting experience preferred.  Will consider candidates with comparable Accounting experience.
Knowledge: General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform work requiring analytical business skills.
Decision Making: Learns to make decisions and recommendations for varied situations, applying judgment to interpret related information, policies, and procedures. Decisions generally impact specific tasks.
Supervision Received: Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy in performing tasks.
Leadership: May provide training and guidance to less experienced staff.
Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Develops solutions to a variety of problems, typically of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to and interprets policies and practices for guidance.
Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts are primarily at or below upper management levels. Represents organization on specific projects. Communication may involve persuasion, and negotiation.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, analytical experience and PC skills required. Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
