Territory Underwriting Specialist - Non-Profit Services

General Placement Service has partnered with a highly successful insurance company offering specialized programs and outstanding policyholder resources.  They are looking for an experienced Underwriting Specialist to remotely manage a multi-state territory. You will visit independent agents/retail insurance brokers to market the company's multiple lines of coverage including Worker's Compensation, Property, Professional Liability, Cyber and General Liability, to social service and non-profit businesses.
 
In this role, you will:

• Advise, mentor and train underwriting staff
• Meet and maintain relationships with assigned agents
• Build and grow a profitable book of business
• Underwrite all new business throughout the territory
• Analyze risks to determine acceptability

 
To be qualified, you must have:

• 5+ years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience
• Knowledge of Non-profit and Human Services accounts
• Bachelor’s Degree and designations such as CPCU preferred
