General Placement Service has partnered with a specialty insurance company focusing on commercial auto markets such as trucking, cargo and public transportation. They are currently seeking a Vice President of Underwriting to lead their Excess and Surplus Primary Auto segment.
 
Responsibilities include:
•Building agency relationships and seeking potential new clients
•Leading and mentoring the underwriting department
•Monitoring production and ensuring overall growth
•Implementing modifications to underwriting guidelines as necessary
 
Qualifications:
•8+ years of E&S underwriting experience
•2+ years in a management role
•Bachelor’s Degree
•Designations such as CPCU preferred
