About the Role
The Senior Employee Benefits Analyst is a newly created position in what’s essentially a niche. One of the country’s largest brokers has a health and welfare group dedicated to private equity firms. Active funds have unique complexities within their corporate employee benefits plans. Your role takes the data analysis out of the hands of the producers, not only to free them up to focus on sales, but to capitalize on your statistical expertise to enhance the service experience.
Scope of Role:
- Work closely with the producer and account service team to develop strategies for clients and ensure that client deliverables perform in line with the client’s strategic objectives
- Engage with the actuarial team to prepare financial reporting packages in accordance with the client service calendar
- Utilize analytical tools and other utilization data available to identify emerging trends, patterns, and anomalies in client claims
- Utilize predictive modeling tools to develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities
- Meet with clients to explain external market influencers and internal experience trends driving benefit costs
Job Specs
Location: 100% remote, work-from-home available for candidates in Eastern Standard and Central Standard time zones. The team you’ll support is based in the Southeast, so expect occasional travel as needed for client and team meetings.
Experience: Advanced Excel skills + experience working with insurance carrier data reporting systems. Possess technical knowledge of underwriting aspects such as plan design, funding arrangements, risk, and rating components.
