About the Role

Insuretechs are popping up everywhere. There are some great ideas backed by some great people. This is an opportunity to get behind a start-up being built by a proven industry insuretech entrepreneur. While they believe software can be utilized to enhance the experience and the process, they don’t feel software makes everything better.

We are seeking a hungry entrepreneurial underwriting professional to join their team. For the right person, this is a ground floor opportunity to help develop and shape the look and feel of this young company. This hire will be a member of the executive team and a real difference maker.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with actuarial consultants looking for gaps. What are things that should be considered?
• Assist with the product development process.
• Find ways to solve problems. Identify blind spots.
• Be involved with TPAs, reinsurers, key accounts.
• Help shape & develop distribution.
• Build out teams around market segments.
• Assist in developing company strategy.

Skills & Experience

• Must have entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ideally coming out of a distribution focused insurance environment.
• Could come out of a MGA setting, smaller carrier, or a division of a larger carrier.
• Small business accounts/commercial package/BOP expertise is a must.
• Experience developing products and/or distribution required.
• Experience within Texas helpful.
• Experience within these accounts: Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Restaurants, Food Trucks, Hotels & Motels and Retail Stores.

Compensation

Salary range: $200k to $250k + bonus based on premium volume + equity
