Cybersecurity & Technology Risk Consultant

About the Role

As Cybersecurity & Technology Risk Consultant you join one of the largest insurance and risk management firms in the country. The organization offers data-driven quantification and comprehensive cyber solutions to large business clients with cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This is a highly engaged, client facing role where you provide risk analysis to CISOs and C-suite decision makers on IT security and cyber security issues especially as they relate to cyber insurance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess cyber security needs; review systems and identify vulnerabilities.
• Recommend cyber security enhancements to clients as needed to meet needs of insurance carriers.
• Identify and quantify risk frequency and severity based on the client’s cyber security maturity.
• Provide solutions using insurance programs as the bridge.
• Work with internal actuarial and quantification teams to run and refine models for assessing privacy, security liability, and first party risk. Discuss outputs and recognize deficiencies. Determine improvements to products and service features that meet custom needs.
• Assist the sales and account management team in presentations and review meetings to secure new accounts and retain existing relationships.
• Establish and maintain contacts with vendor partners to provide pre & post breach services.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in (including but not limited to) Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Assurance, and/or Risk Management.
• Knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity controls, risk management processes, and (preferably) risk quantification methodologies.
• CISSP or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience working with CISOs and NIST standards.
• Prior experience with consultative related duties such as direct client engagement and meeting/presentation participation and leadership.
