Underwriter for Leading Insurance Agency - Commercial Lines

Fairmont Insurance, a leading insurance brokerage and agency located in Brooklyn, NY is searching for an Underwriter/Client Service Representative (CSR) for our commercial lines department. The CSR is directly responsible for marketing, binding and servicing policies for existing accounts in an allocated book of business containing many high end clients.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage/service a book of business within the Property & Casualty- Commercial Lines Department
-Remarket accounts upon renewal to our direct markets and to our broad array of wholesalers to obtain the most competitive quotes with the best coverages
-Ensure accounts renew in a timely fashion without lapse in coverage -Interact with clients on an everyday basis
-Manage an Assistant CSR who handles Certificate Requests, Policy Checking, Recommendations, Auto ID cards etc...
-Accept and process endorsement requests from policyholders -Provide recommendations made by the carrier to the policyholder and forward compliances to the carrier upon completion of the recommendations.
-Maintain data integrity for underwriting system.
-Maintain relationships with Agency Producers & Underwriters at our Direct carriers and wholesalers
-Meet all department servicing objectives including phone management, renewal management, file maintenance and documentation, etc.
- Knowledge of AMS360 a huge plus

Ideal Candidate:
• 4+ years experience in servicing & remarketing commercial property/casualty accounts. 
• Familiarity with current regulatory requirements and product knowledge.
• High school degree and/or equivalent related work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in office operations, computer software skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
