Senior Tax Accountant

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Tax Accounting, you’ll be involved with the preparation and review of:

• Corporate federal, state, premium, & municipal income tax returns
• Premium tax returns
• Audits
• Financial statement computations 
• Quarterly GAAP and Statutory tax provisions + forecasted income tax projections and effective tax rate
• Tax basis balance sheets and deferred tax inventory supporting schedules
• Estimated tax payments and tax sharing calculations
• Tax account reconciliations

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting experience or a large corporate environment
• CPA or Master’s degree in accounting or taxation preferred
• Strong background in preparation of quarterly provisions and associated tax footnotes
