The Product Design & Experience (PDX) team within GRM Product Management is seeking a talented, motivated individual to join our highly visible group that focuses on driving research and innovation to reinvent our core product offerings for today and the future. This mission involves partnering with cross-functional groups to improve customer experience and business results, enhance existing offerings, and create new core products. This role will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop a strategy for the deployment of cutting-edge computer visioning machine learning models and aerial imagery technology. This role presents the opportunity to drive innovation through creative application of emerging AI technology while shaping the future of our property product. This role involves significant collaboration with partners within Product and other departments such as IT, Claims, and Distribution.

In this role, you can expect to: 

  • Develop product recommendations to drive profitable growth and improve customer experience
  • Examples of past projects include:
    • Researching and developing new product opportunities to reach underpenetrated market segments
    • Identifying opportunities to enhance existing core offering through coverage modularization
    • Introducing new features 
  • Complete ongoing research and analytics to drive ideation for future enhancements
  • Partnering with delivery, IT, distribution, claims, marketing, finance, modeling, and state management teams to bring solutions to market
  • Communicate updates to leadership regularly

Additional responsibilities you may have in this role include:

  • Leading efforts to develop an enterprise strategy on the deployment of cutting-edge computer visioning machine learning models (CVML)
  • Driving innovation in the business use cases of CVML to improve our property products
  • Managing CVML vendor engagement and coordinate vendors across several functional areas within GRM
  • Communicating strategy to senior leadership and generating organizational buy-in on our CVML strategy in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Conducting extremely complex analysis, often independently
  • Setting up and runs advanced predictive models
  • Querying data to conduct ad hoc analysis of metrics and answer advanced business questions
  • Building transformative tools and queries that change how we look at the business
  • Performing the underlying analysis on projects important to the SBU
  • Providing recommendations on the appropriate tools and techniques to perform analysis
  • Creating new product concepts
  • Managing special projects
  • Managing moderate to high complexity projects, often including managing the workstreams of others
  • Occasionally sponsoring projects with team members from multiple functional areas
  • Conducting competitive intelligence and understands market trends for a product line
  • Monitoring and interprets developments
  • Proactively seeking out mentorship opportunities with less experienced analysts
  • Occasionally seeking out opportunities to guide or teach the broader team
  • Conducting behavioral interviews and case interviews
  • May manage technical aspects of vendor relationships
  • May evaluate cost/benefit calculations of various options, sometimes evaluating complex pilots
  • May make recommendations on strategic use of vendor products

  • Master's degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Minimum 7 years relevant work experience, typically 10 years
  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem)
  • Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience managing or leading others beneficial
