This role is on a high functioning Agile team working on a strategic platform in GRS Tech's Casualty Product organization.  The team is core to innovating and evangelizing strategic capabilities for the platform, including experimentation, POCs, and onboarding new products. We are seeking a team-focused individual, with voice to contribute to our inclusive culture and who is excited to be part of a multi-team SAFe train with opportunities to collaborate, mentor, and be mentored.

Experience

  • Three years of software engineering experience
  • Experience working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum, Kanban and/or XP
  • Demonstrated success in platform modernization initiatives, utilizing technologies such as REST; micro services; cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud; and Java, Angular, NodeJS and Spring Boot

 

Skills

  • An ability to code in multiple languages, including an object-oriented language, preferably Java/J2EE
  • Strong oral and written communication skillsand a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers
  • A collaborative, adaptable working style, demonstrated initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and efforts

 

Knowledge

  • A thorough grasp of technology concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools

 

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
