Job Summary

TheCFO of Allstate Roadsideserves asabusiness advisorto strategically position the Business Unit for success. The CFO is an integral leader as part of the overall management team and is expected to bring his/her views to all areas of the business. The CFO is also part of the broader Allstate finance function and participates in talent development, change management, automation and other strategic corporate initiatives.The CFO of Allstate Roadside reports to both the leader of the Roadside business along with the CFO for Protection Products and Services and is a key leader in our finance function. He/she will be responsible for managing a team of talented professionals who utilize data and analytics to constantly improve the Roadside business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence business decisions by providing financial transparency through forecasting, planning, measurement, business case development, capital management and internal controls

  • Partner with theFinance and BusinessLeadership in the identification and execution of strategic approaches towards financial processes and methodologies (e.g., planning, reporting), customer service, overall team management and talent management

  • Provide an objective focus on execution and integration of Business Unit priorities, while managing expectations and successful outcomes

  • The CFO needs to be able to work with their teams to regularly develop clear and concise financial presentations of the drivers and levers of financial performance

  • The Roadside finance function develops competitive pricing for new business proposals. Pricing expertise along with efficient processmanagementis a core component of this role

  • Utilize data and analytics to solve business problems. This team extensively utilizes R, Python and Tableau to evaluate severity performance and analyze network solutions

  • Working with the roadside provider network and data science teams to implement complex routing approaches to maximize customer service and reduce the amount of time to complete rescuesusing data science and financial models

  • Participate in writing and presenting business proposals to Fortune500companies in the many different industries (automotive, rental, insurance, leasing)

  • Analyze long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions and consider ramifications to the business

  • Lead teams in understanding the link between Allstate objectives and their contributions and ensure team efficiency and effectiveness

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory responsibilities. The teamis comprised of ~12 professionals working in both Northbrook, IL and Belfast Ireland. We offer a hybrid work environment and many individuals prefer to work from their home locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degreein Finance or Accounting;may also have advanced degree

  • 12or moreyearsof related experience

  • Management experience required

Functional Skills

  • Ability to design and establish financial goals and measures

  • Knowledge of general corporate finance,accounting and general audit procedures; demonstrates depth and breath of analytical expertise

  • Superior communication skills across multiple levels and mediums

  • Expertise in planning, forecasting and expense budgeting. Experience managing a well-functioning planning process for 3-year time horizons along with rolling forecasts

  • Experience managing a pricing team; involvement on RFP presentations a plus

  • Experience using data and analytics to make better finance decisions

  • Reputation as a trusted businessleaderin a finance related area build relationships withpeerswhile offering analysis and recommending corrective actions based on emerging trends
