Nature of Job

Process new policies, renewals, changes and cancellations; verify accuracy of policy information; communicate with agents and policyholders regarding underwriting processing matters.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent education.
• Ability to learn rating and procedural concepts.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to detect and correct errors in procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with company computer systems and processing methods.
• Commitment to company values and customer service.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Rate, code and enter new policies, changes and cancellations into computer system.
• Prepare renewals for processing.
• Communicate with agents and policyholders regarding specific rating information.
• Work with Information Services on master files and various other related items.
• Order inspection reports, MVRs, CLUE and other insurance reports.
• Send loss payee, mortgagee and other policyholder letters.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Line Supervisor or Underwriter.
