Accountant II

Position Summary:

MIS Insurance Services is seeking a talented and motivated entry to mid-level individual to join our Accounting team. The candidate will report to the Director of Accounting and will be responsible for insurance billing for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for various administrative accounting duties related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Reconcile Billing System to Underwriting System
• Post daily cash receipts and reconcile bank statements
• Oversee invoicing process
• Research and resolve account reconciling items and assist with monthly close procedures
• Communicate with clients regarding billing issues
• Perform other related accounting duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• US Citizen; Local Candidate
• BS in Accounting or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel
• Background in insurance a plus
