Job Summary

The Accounting Consultant II performs activities related to special accounting projects, preparation of financial reports and analysis of financial/accounting data.

Responsible for providing calculations, research, analysis, documentation, and reporting related to the sales compensation plans and programs. The Sales Compensation team provides sales incentive compensation support to the sales organization. This includes providing bonus calculations as well as bonus reporting for over 200 sales personnel

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely calculation of sales bonuses for over 200 sales personnel.
  • Provide some customer service to the sales organization.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with business partners. Provides problem resolution when applicable.
  • Subject matter expert and provides feedback and analysis for the yearly review of the compensation plans.
  • Analyzes and communicates financial data to Senior Management and HR that is appropriate, accurate and timely.
  • Fosters positive working relationship with Allstate Benefits sales personnel.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting and accrual activity
  • Supports any ad-hoc analysis
  • Uses accounting principles and understands the concepts, rules and terminology to the science of accounting.
  • Identifies, develops and applies ideas and approaches to complicated issues, solving problems and accomplishing goals.
  • Breaks down complex information in a systematic and communicable manner
  • Plans, implements and manages moderately scaled projects


  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 or more years of related experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Office,Strong Excel skillsand PowerPoint and some SQL
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well organized and possess excellent use of time management
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Position location is hybrid in the Jacksonville, FL office. Will come in to the office as needed.
