GL Claims Team Manager - Dallas

Addison, Texas

Our client is a leading global multi-line insurer with offices located all over the world. They have a global culture with a local focus in how they interact with both customers and their employees. This role may require some time in their office, but they understand and appreciate the need for a work from home environment for their staff and they offer several days every week for each of their claims adjusters and managers to be able to work from home. But, because the culture and diversity of their staff is of critical importance to the success of the organization, being together and collaborating in the office will be part of the balance (1-2 days each week, when Covid subsides).

As a General Liability Claims Team Manager, you are considered to be in a leadership role where you will be responsible for managing, training and growing your team. This role will not handle a specific desk of claims, but rather be involved in authority questions, approvals and staff development.

Superior claims results through leadership, performance management, professional development, coaching and technical direction is a good definition for this role!

  • Alignment with the overall Claims organization
  • Visibility to the Claims Leadership Team

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience in handling complex General Liability Claims
  • 2+ years of managing/mentoring a team
  • Experience reviewing and working with contracts
  • Experience working on coverage issues across the organization
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience collaborating across work groups
  • Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
