In this remote role you will be responsible for the territorial management as well as the sales and marketing of the Personal, Commercial, and Farm lines of business to independent agents. This individual will provide the highest level of customer service to our agents. This position is based in Eastern Iowa and the candidate will work out of their home office. A company car will be provided to complete the travel required.

How you will spend your time at Celina:

• Analyze the agency plant in the territory to develop the agencies capable of writing business within our market definition to support company growth and profit goals.
• Following our Marketing/Sales’ culture, scheduled visits should add value with every visit, phone interaction, and contact we have with our agency partners and policyholders. Each visit should support a specific call objective and appropriate follow-up should be made to ensure agency needs are addressed and met.
• Achieve the growth and profit goals for territory and for each agent within the territory.  
• Lead the operations team in the agency review discussions and make sound recommendations from your team discussions.  Onboard the operations team by leading and implementing the agency review action plans.
• Assist agents in the territory in quoting and writing business within the defined Celina Insurance Group markets. Fully utilize your underwriting authority and optimize the processes in place to assist the operational team and agencies to reach their goals.
• Build a consistent pipeline of agency prospects that would be potential agencies for the Celina Insurance Group.
• Assist agents in training new producers, CSRs, or other agency personnel on Celina Insurance Group products.
• Assist agents in understanding company production and status reports.
• Assist in coordinating communication and travel involving home office personnel and to our agents.
• Complete expense account and weekly progress reports in a timely fashion, as needed.

Preferred education and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of three years in an underwriting or marketing position with an insurance carrier writing standard coverage lines.
• Working towards an Associate in Underwriting designation or CIC is preferred.
