Job Description


Allstate Technology Architecture plays a fundamental role in aligning Allstates business and technology strategies. Architects work with their business and technology delivery partners to define and document technology that drives our business will look like in the future and how it fits into the broader vision of Allstates technology and capabilities landscape. Governance of the processes plays a key role in a successful operation, and we are now looking to improve how that works.

We are pleased to announce that we currently have an opening for a Senior Process Analyst/Engineer in the Architecture Governance team.

This position will align you within the experienced architecture governance team, with the goal of providing IT leaders a clear view of their portfolio of applications and technologies in order to effectively rationalize their IT landscape.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

As an architecture governance senior process analyst/engineer, you will:

  • Identify process improvement opportunities in the software acquisition lifecycle management process and other architecture governance processes
  • Develop plans on how the software acquisition lifecycle management process, and other architecture governance processes, can be improved
  • Prioritize and execute process improvement initiatives
  • Analyze and review the outcomes of process improvement initiatives
  • Manage and evolve a application portfolio taxonomy, the EA Asset Taxonomy, in support of application portfolio management and application rationalization in a corporate environment
  • Support DCIOs in the implementation of the EA Asset Taxonomy in the Allstate enterprise APM (application portfolio management) tool. The current standard is a software tool called Changepoint EAM
  • Build Changepoint EA portfolio reports and insights in support of DCIOs
  • Work with the DCIO and architecture teams to maintain data quality with their application portfolios in the Allstate enterprise APM tool
  • Publish and maintain principles, standards, guidelines, and operational rules for the Allstate APM strategy
  • Manage and maintain the Allstate Business Capability model; work with capability owners to identify and maintain accurate ownership records. Additionally, support and enable business architecture use cases
  • Determine the metrics that will measure towards defined outcomes and establish how to capture those metrics
  • Report on application portfolio management and data quality progress to IT leaders
  • Manages other process analysts (2 to begin with and more may be added)

Requirements

Education:

Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of IT experience in the field of software engineering
  • At least 5years experience in process analysis of architecture and engineering functions
  • At least 4years of hands-on BPMN modeling and analysis
  • Competency with Office 365 tools including Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collaborate with and guide partner teams to help them comply with governance standards
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a multi-team environment

Compensation Data

Salary range for thisposition is $110,000-$150,000/yr plus up to 10% annual bonus potential

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience and skills required

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
