Commercial Auto Production Underwriter

About the Role

Commercial Auto Production Underwriter job opening is an immediate opportunity to join one of the country’s largest program administrator of Towing, Garage, and Used Car Dealership insurance. You are responsible for growing a book of business within the auto aftermarket and dealership segments. You have daily contact with agents to discuss risk acceptability, coverage applicability, pricing and more. This is a remote, 100% work-from home position with an active travel requirement (up to 50%).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Generating, underwriting and analyzing accounts
• Risk selection by qualifying leads and identifying target market
• Communication with brokers for new and renewal business
• Pricing and issuance of multiples quotes with selected markets
• Development and maintenance of strong broker relationships including visitation
• Thorough documentation of underwriting file
• Monitors claims activity and reporting

Skills & Experience

• At least 5-7 years of commercial property & casualty underwriting experience with specific expertise in towing, garage, and used car dealership programs
• Multi-line P&C background to include Commercial Auto, Garage Keepers Liability, Dealers Open Lot, Commercial General Liability and Commercial Property
• Established relationships with retail agents writing garage and used car dealerships
