The role

In this newly created role, the Digital Product Manager will help us spearhead the lifecycle of our digital products, from inception to launch. You will be the owner of our digital portfolio and help us continue to bring digital products and services to our customers. You will partner with our business leaders to further our mission of providing industry leading service and ease of doing business

What You Will Be Doing

1. Collaborates with key business leaders to develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for our digital product portfolio.

2. Works closely with the SFM Voice of the Customer team to understand requirements to enhance our digital products for ease of use and functional/innovative enhancements. Provides input on trends in the marketplace for these products.

3. Provides support to Underwriting and Loss Prevention staff for digital products by attending prospect visits to demonstrate their use.

4. Provides training to end users of our digital products to help them maximize use of them via in person or virtual sessions. Collects feedback from these sessions and reports potential areas of improvement to leadership.

5. Coordinates the creation of compelling, creative demos and presentations that win customers, working with business stakeholders and product teams in order to effectively position the product.

6. Develops relationships throughout the insurance industry to validate digital product strategy.

7. Collaborates with the Information Services team on digital product development and how we monitor performance, test functionality, and create a secure experience.

8. Works with the Communications team to study analytics and usage trends of digital products. Uses this information to suggest improvements for both increased usage and functionality.

9. Reviews internal processes and recommends ways that digital products can improve efficiencies and improve ease of doing business with SFM.

10. Researches competitors and maintains a list of capabilities by competitor. Proactively suggests investments that SFM can make to maintain a competitive advantage using digital products.

11. Monitors advancements in technologies that may assist to improve our customer experience and ease of doing business.

What We'll Love About You

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 or more years of digital product experience.
• 2 or more years of experience in the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital user products.
• 2 or more years of digital product sales or end-user support
• Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc)
• 2 or more years of experience working in the insurance industry desirable. Experience working with independent agents is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present in both large and small group settings
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong passion for technology and a strong aptitude for business strategy
• Broad understanding of usability and user experience best practices
• Broad experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions for building best in class digital products.
• Ability to be both strategic and tactical in day to day interactions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of digital channels and platforms (e.g., web, mobile, client PC, partner products, social, video).
• Strong understanding of technologies utilized in the industry and the ability to see their impact.
• Strong diplomatic and consensus building skills
• Strong ability to convey technical concepts in a clear, understandable way
• Strong ability to overcome internal barriers and negotiate resource constraints to produce successful digital initiatives
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proven experience in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Excellent facilitation skills.
• Self-starter who works well independently and within a team.
• Proficient in MS Office software applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

Physical Requirements

Regular attendance is required. Work takes place in a semi paperless environment within an office setting, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, which requires being stationary for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and maintain concentration and focus. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and work with close vision. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Work is performed indoors with little to no exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions. Travel as needed.
