Product Development Specialist

About the Role

Join an amazing team as a Product Development Specialist with a dynamic organization with a 140-year history of providing exceptional customer service to its policyholders! You will provide technical support and assistance in the design, implementation and maintenance of commercial insurance products that are competitive, compliant and consistent with corporate objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform research and market analysis of industry trends and competitive information
• Develop, implement and maintain coverage forms, endorsements, declarations, underwriting manuals, rules, and guidelines
• Analyze ISO, NCCI and other bureau circulars; communicate effect on existing products/procedures and recommend action as needed
• Work with IT Department to ensure new and revised product specifications (rates, rules, forms and other output) are implemented

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• Thorough understanding of property/casualty insurance pricing principles and underwriting practices, standards, and concepts
• Demonstrated comprehension of commercial lines products and coverages
• 3+ years’ commercial lines underwriting experience
• Experience reviewing and interpreting ISO/NCCI rate, rule, and form circulars
• Experience drafting and submitting rate, rule and form filings via SERFF

Compensation

$61k to $77k. Bonus incentive is 7% of salary.
