Responsibilities:

 

Lead projects with low to moderate complexity. Responsible for smaller components of projects of high complexity

  • Business:
    • Develop an understanding of Service and Finance's operations, processes, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
    • Translates quantitative analyses and findings into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences and provides clear view into interpreting the data
    • Bring a value-based approach to opportunity assessment of projects, around critical KPIs such as CX, Growth, Retention, and Profit
    • Engages customers to understand business problems and customize analytic and predictive model solutions to business needs.
  • Technical:
    • Solve business problems using advanced statistical techniques including but not limited to regression/logistic regression, bootstrap, factor analysis, decision tree, gradient boosting, neural network, clustering & binning, and basket analysis
    • Develop and maintain expertise in a wide range of new technologies, methodologies, and techniques facilitating advanced research, decision sciences, and systems engineering
    • Design and manage market experiments and pilots to test hypotheses or generate test and control observation data
    • Partner with agile development squads in Information Technology and Information Management to deliver robust solutions into the operation

Qualifications:

  • Technical:
    • Will vary depending on grade level. MS degree (in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science or other scientific field of study) combined with minimum one 1-3 years of relevant experience in the job offered, data science, or in a related field
    • Researches and develops predictive analytic solutions including generalized linear models (GLM), time series forecasting and media mix modeling, and other statistical and machine learning models.
    • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical/data processing software packages and programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SQL, Hadoop, Hive).  Python strongly preferred and experience with API model deployments a strong plus
    • Mines large data sets using sophisticated analytical techniques to generate insights and inform business decisions
    • Identifies and tests hypotheses, ensuring statistical significance through experimental design and builds predictive models for business application.
    • Translates quantitative analyses and findings into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences and provides clear view into interpreting the data
    • Ability to develop process to track model performance using RShiny and PowerBI.
    • Ability to work with a broader team using GIT or other code management tools using AWS big data solutions, like S3 and Snowflake.
  • Other:
    • Engages customers to understand business problems and customize analytic and predictive model solutions to business needs.
    • Lead projects with low to moderate complexity. Responsible for smaller components of projects of high complexity
    • Regularly engages with the data science community and participates in cross-functional working groups
