Claims Clerk | Denver, CO - Remote

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Remote Claims Clerk with our client in the Denver, CO area. As a member of our client’s claims team, perform diverse clerical duties requiring thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable procedures and policies.

Although this position is remote, it does require that eligible candidates be located within the Greater Denver area. 

Remote Claims Clerk Responsibilities

• Matches proper file and/or claim number on unidentified correspondence by use of the various automated systems.
• Performs control operator functions for various Service Center or Claim Office data systems.
• Retrieves and/or re-files items from a central storage facility and maintains accurate records of file activity.
• Keeps supervisor informed verbally and in writing of activities and problems within assigned area of responsibility; refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to supervisor for direction.
• Performs a variety of clerical duties such as answering telephones, taking messages, and sorting and filing mail and correspondence, and data entry.
• Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Experience

• 1+ years of experience handling essential administrative responsibilities
• Insurance experience a plus

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
