SUMMARY
Inside Sales Representative’s primary responsibility is to maintain positive relationships with our agency partners by ensuring their needs are met in an efficient and timely manner. If you enjoy working with people, delivering customer solutions, and building relationships, then this job is right for you.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for agency staff
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting agency relationships
- Train agencies on our products, underwriting guidelines and system
- Collaborate with the outside sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
- Work with underwriting and claims staff when needed to assist in conflict resolution
- Support agencies on underwriting, claims, system
- Report and document all calls in Salesforce
- Perform other tasks that are assigned by management- Sales projects, Preparing reports, Sales meetings etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); additionally any undergraduate education desirable, minimum 1 year experience and/or training in P&C Insurance desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Insurance designation (API, AINS) or license in Property and Casualty is preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong organizational and task management skills. Strong relationship management and proven experience delivering high level if internal and external customer service. Computer proficiency with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess the ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos as well as write simple correspondence. Must also be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must be proficient with the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must also be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
