Associate Commercial Lines Account Manager

About the Role

An immediate job opening for an Associate Commercial Insurance Account Manager, this firm is one of the premier independent insurance brokers in New England and part of a network of brokers operating in a national network. Here are some details on the insurance customer service role:

• Compensation: Salary range is $50k-$60k depending on experience + annual bonus opportunity (paid quarterly)
• Benefits: Comprehensive medical insurance plan and competitive PTO
• Location: Hartford, CT or remote, work-from-home within approximately 2-3 hours of the office
• Career Progression: The agency needs someone who can step into a front line, lead client service role. Because they offer on-the-job training, mentoring & career progression, this is an opportunity to advance from a customer service role into full-on client management.
• Book of Business: You’ll service middle market accounts (the minimum threshold is $5k in agency revenue). The book is generalist in a number of industries. The agency management system is EPIC.

Skills & Experience

• At least two (2) years of commercial property and casualty insurance industry experience
• Independent agency experience is highly preferred
• Requires a great personality that comes through to clients over the phone
• An ability to promptly address questions and resolve client concerns with empathy and finesse
• Can prepare submissions, analyze claims information, work with underwriters and handle larger accounts
