Commercial Insurance Account Manager

About the Role

The Commercial Insurance Account Manager joins an agency rooted in the communities of northwest Indiana for nearly one hundred years.  The staff is experienced and strives to offer personalized service. Here are some additional specs on this role:

• Location: Merrillville, IN
• Office Hours: Due to COVID you’ll work a split schedule alternative days with other team members. Post COVID this position is a 5 days/week. The agency offers modified hours during the summer.
• Book of Business: You’ll work in Applied TAM to service a large existing book of commercial insurance clients ranging from construction to trucking, schools, municipalities and hospitality. You are responsible for daily service, policy management and renewal preparation.
• Skills and Experience: Keen eye for attention and a solid understanding of commercial property and casualty policy review particularly with coverage exclusions, endorsements, indemnity clauses and contracts.   
• Compensation: Target base salary of $50k-$70k depending on experience with full employee benefits program, 401k company match and competitive PTO.

Skills & Experience

• State insurance license
• At least 2-3 years of commercial insurance experience in policy management, client service or underwriting support duties
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
