Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities, coaching and mentoring of Account Management Associates. Key activities are communicating corporate initiatives, creating and maintaining processes, ensuring compliance of processes and procedures, identifying training needs of each associate and interfacing with Sales Associates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and mentoring of the Account Management staff
  • Creating and maintaining processes for efficient work flow
  • Review of management reporting for processes and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Work closely with President on the marketing and servicing of his book of business
  • Identification of training needs and ensuring that all AM personnel are well versed in all processes
  • Work with the Production Team on marketing new and renewal business
  • Assist with elevated client issues/concerns
  • Interface with client at C level
  • Interface with carriers to manage corporate relationship and obtain appointments as needed
  • Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree or education and experience equivalency
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with a broker providing account management

services and support to clients.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing a team of Account Executives/Account Managers
  • Strong management skills with the ability to manage/mentor team members
  • Client focused with ability to develop strong relationships with the clients
  • Strong detail orientation and follow up skills
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of office databases and presentation software (AMS360, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Flexible, multi-task abilities
  • Proactive in solving client needs and sense of urgency in all client matters
  • Experience in working with large groups
