Job Description

Job Family Summary
The Associate Manager, Social Experience is a key resource within Allstate’s Social Media Center of Excellence (COE). The Social Media COE consists of three teams (Social Experience, Brand Editorial and Digital Intelligence & Engagement) which are part of the larger Marketing, Innovation and Corporate Brand division. This role is on the Social Experience team which is tasked with creating upper, middle and lower-funnel social content and experiences for the brand.


Job Summary

The Associate Manager, Social Experience will help bring this belief to life through the creation and distribution of social content. The Associate Manager, Social Experience will be responsible for leading the creation of "utility" and conversion-driven social and digital content. The work should result in increased middle and lower-funnel content quality, performance and consumer engagement. The position requires testing new mid to lower funnel visual search and content strategies, writing inspiring, data-driven creative briefs for our Creative partners as well as creating and reviewing content. The Associate Manager will also partner with our media team to run and report on paid social (YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook) campaigns as well.  

 

As a person, the Associate Manager, Social Experience is passionate about growing purpose-driven brands through visual search, utility content, social commerce and advertising. Colleagues would say this person is known as a “kind collaborator” who works well with cross-functional teams and new ideas.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains a section of the Social COE’s “Playbook” documents our mid and lower-funnel strategy, execution and measurement plan.
  • Writes inspiring, data-driven creative briefs for our Creative partners. Reviews creative work and provides feedback to ensure content is both “on brand” and compliant with legal, product and risk guidelines.  
  • Partners with Social Experience Consultants to get content published according to calendar. Partners with engagement team to monitor inbound risks and opportunities. Sets up multiple media tests in partnership with media and optimizes ads and creative accordingly.
  • Partners with media team to execute and report on paid social and visual  search campaigns. Partners with Digital Insights lead to report on organic and earned campaigns.
  • Pinterest platform owner (organic and paid)

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, mobile marketin
  • Advertising, public relations and/or digital marketing agency experience
  • Experience writing data and insights-driven creative briefs and partnering with creative teams
  • Pinterest and YouTube search and advertising strategy expertise; Google advertising certification(s) preferred
  • Demonstrated content strategy, planning and measurement experience
  • Deep understanding of paid social advertising including creative best practices, targeting, ad units and reporting

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
