                                                  PROJECT MANAGER

This opportunity is responsible for managing several concurrent projects using traditional and other methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions and will report to the Chief Operations Officer.

Key Bullet Points as Follows:

  • Creates long-and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
  • Assists in the definition of project scope and goals
  • Plan out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying our communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance
  • Identifies and manages potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects (needs to have an action he/she needs to take to mitigate the risks)
  • Serves as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicates with executives and stakeholders to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Participates in and supervises each stage of the project
  • Ensures each project remains on schedule and adheres to the deadlines
  • Tracks milestones, deliverables, and change requests
  • Serves as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information
  • Delivers completed software projects on-time and on-budget

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Development Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Information Technology focused on software project management and program/portfolio management functions of insurance information technology (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum of three years’ experience overseeing and reporting on Guidewire and other current technology platforms
  • Proven experience in project management and software development
  • Agile methodologies and SCRUM methodologies required
  • SCRUM Master certification preferred
