As the Director, Special Investigations Unit (SIU), you will manage Liberty Mutuals Commercial Insurance Claims' Anti-Fraud Program, including the planning, including performance standards, training, compliance, workflow, and projects. You will influence initiatives and decisions of key functions across the organization specific to the handling of critical investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the SIU team. Manage the SIU workforce, including staffing levels, selection, performance management, engagement, technical and leadership development.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, coordination and direction of the business unit's Anti-Fraud Program including performance standards and protocols, results, workflow, etc. Prepares, recommends and manages to the annual budget to ensure appropriate resource allocations and expense management of organization.
  • Establish and ensure compliance of SIU guidelines, procedures and protocols.
  • Responsible for Statutory and Regulatory Anti-Fraud Compliance. Coordinate and Manage corporate anti-fraud projects. Responsible for the identification, evaluation, development and implementation of anti-fraud technology to enhance the operation.
  • Responsible for auditing, training and quality control of the Special Investigation Unit, which includes training for claims, underwriting and agency training on fraud awareness, recognition, investigation and fraud prevention.
  • Promotes an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration and partnership and applies these principles to improve customer relationships, quality and work processes.

Our ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of insurance special investigative policies, procedures and techniques. Knowledge of continuous improvement practices. Advanced interpersonal, leadership and team building skills. Effective presentation and written communication skills. Detail and quality orientation as normally acquired through a bachelors degree or equivalent and 10+ years of related or transferrable experience, some of which should be in a leadership role
