Under minimal direction and often independently the Director, Product Analysis (IC) leads improvement efforts of GRM data environment.
Collaborates with the Data Office, Finance, Econ and other departments to set data priorities and leads implementation of new reporting, data and changes to DS&R processes to address underlying issues.
Implements complex changes to support improvements in DS&R reporting.
Leads in the creation and serves as a subject matter expert for implementation of new data sources, technologies and process.
Identifies opportunities for improvements, makes actionable recommendations and executes on those recommendations.
Directs building of new data sets to support reporting, including setting timelines, acting as lead architect for a team of analysts, coordinating requirements with stakeholders, and assisting with prioritization of Data Office work.
Tests new technologies and recommends implementation plans within Econ.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and provides recommendations to within Econ on how to leverage new data sets.
Actively mentors analysts thru complex projects, creating timelines and assisting with technical challenges.
Occasionally seeks opportunities to teach the broader team about new methods and best practices within DS&R.
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field. Minimum 7, typically 10 years or more of relevant work experience. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access). Experience with SQL and/or Python highly desired. Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Experience managing projects preferred.
