The details

If youre a motivated law student searching for the unique opportunity to work with industry specialists on day-to-day matters and challenging projects, the Summer Law Clerk Program may be for you.

As a Summer Law Clerk, youll work with a mentor to examine and understand the intersection of law and business at Liberty Mutual as well as network with senior leaders.

A few of your responsibilities may include performing legal research, drafting memos, summarizing legal findings, and advising and counseling business clients. Youll also have the opportunity to participate in our award-winning pro-bono program.

We are looking for ambitious applicants who are between the second and third years of law school. Positions are paid, full-time (40 hours per week), and are based at our Washington, D.C.

What youve got

  • You must be currently enrolled in a JD Program.
  • You must have completed your second year of law school with a competitive GPA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You must submit a writing sample along with law school transcripts to be considered for this position.
