As the Governance Lead within Liberty Mutuals Global Cybersecurity group (GCS), youll play a critical role in shaping the way we protect a Fortune 100 organization. You will implement and operationalize a governance model for Global Cybersecurity leveraging the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to better enable the company to drive and maintain our security posture.

This governance model will ensure our security work is aligned strategically, accountability is clear and objectives are achieved through partnership with leaders across the organization. The Governance Lead is responsible for ensuring the Global Cybersecurity program aligns all security work across the organization to our key priorities.

This position plays a significant role in assisting senior leaders with risk management, achievement of strategic objectives and fulfilling the companies promise to our customers.

About the job:

  • The Governance Lead builds and cultivates effective business relationships while providing independent value-added governance and advisory services.
  • Design and build the operational framework and processes, and lead related projects, fostering the development of organizational capabilities and structures needed to support the execution of the business strategy.

  • Build mechanisms to assess and monitor the success of the operational framework. Design feedback loops to incorporate members feedback into continuous improvement activities.

  • Adeptly build consensus and gain buy-in among stakeholders across the organization to achieve security goals.

  • Use knowledge of objectives, strategies and needs to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to achieve desired results.

  • Develops increasing technical knowledge and understanding of the cybersecurity operating model and effectively demonstrates these capabilities through process design, implementation and operationalization

  • Escalates and works to resolve issues that serve as roadblocks and/or place objectives at risk. Identifies and provides visibility into trade-offs between options, while strongly influencing recommended approach.

  • Provides mentoring to less experienced staff.

  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include process design and management work.
