Insurance Agency looking for experienced professional who is highly motivated and that has a background in handling commercial accounts. The ideal candidate will have a history in providing exceptional customer service and prior success in supporting the needs of the producers in addition to handling their own accounts.

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for working closely with clients, discovering their needs and recommending the correct coverages accordingly insuring both they and their businesses are protected.

We are seeking a candidate that is confident in their knowledge of policy language and coverage forms. They should be able to round out accounts when possible and driven to follow up on cross selling opportunities. He or she will be multi task oriented and willing to help assist others within the organization when needed.

~~Essential Functions:

  • Answer questions proposed by clients on insurance products offered by our various carriers
  • Assist in developing client proposals, analysis and presentation when required
  • Ensure account information is accurately entered into our management system
  • Issue all documents related to accounts, including but not limited to invoices, binders, policy proofing and delivery
  • Participate in the development of the agency’s operation strategy and contribute to their growth
  • Manage and maintain an existing book of business
  • Assist each customer in the servicing and processing of their insurance needs
  • Advise clients of additional products and services to round out their insurance needs
  • Process new business and renewals with remarkets as necessary
  • Support the smooth functioning of the commercial business unit and the office through diligent administration and workflow processes including all automated workflows.

~~ Qualifications:

  • This position requires the applicant to maintain a current state insurance producer license in property and casualty lines
  • Minimum 10 years of Commercial Lines experience or equivalent, construction experience essential
  • Strong coverage knowledge of all P & C lines, language and forms and the ability to meet and discuss with clients
  • Knowledge of AMS and Image Right (Work Smart) is preferred
  • Highly effective communication skills - oral, written and group
  • Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with carriers and underwriters
  • Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment
  • Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
