ICW Group is looking for a Data Engineer who will focus on Integration/MDM/Data Warehousing, defines and builds the data pipelines, data quality check and cleanse solutions, including capturing throughput/error statistics. Improves legacy processes and develops new solutions to enable faster and better, data -informed decision making within the business to improve system and process efficiencies and reduce overhead cost in terms of time and effort. Data pipelines will not only perform to a high degree of stability but solutions will also focus on the durability, maintainability and scalability of the processes for future needs for OLTP, OLAP and MDM data movement.

What Does Your Day Look Like?:

Collects and integrates data
• Designs and develops scalable ETL packages and data streams, and integrates data from internal and external data sources. (SSIS and Alteryx).
• Optimizes performance, implements schema changes, and maintains data standards to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Ensures proper data governance and quality across data repositories and schema. Identifies best data sources among multiple sources to use for data pipelines to improve trust in data

Troubleshoots and resolves incidents
• Monitors and troubleshoots data movement pipeline statistics for potential data or process issues.
• Troubleshoots incidents with data sources to minimize disruption to business and reporting services.
• Conducts training on specialty tools for power users and peers (especially for Profisee/Maestro & Alteryx)

Oversees advanced analytics projects
• Gathers and implements database requirements, analyzes performance and troubleshoots existing issues.
• Collaborates with product management, BI and advanced analytics team in implementing various data streams.
• Assists in analysis of complex data complex data elements and systems, data flow and dependencies in order to work with Data Architect in development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models as well as verification and implementation of ETL mappings and transformation logic.

Catalog maintenance and documentation
• Documents the design and architecture of new and existing data pipelines using a Data Governance tool like Erwin Edge or Alteryx Connect).
• Develops documentation and reports that provide intuitive Data Integration analytics to customers with publication on Business friendly platforms like Confluence.
• Maintains comprehensive catalog of all the data streams, data mapping and data integration solutions in various Metadata libraries.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or any other technology related field. 3+ years of experience in a data integration engineering related role. Experience with Data Movement technologies – SSIS, Profisee/Maestro, Alteryx (these 3 preferred), PowerCenter Informatica,IBM Infosphere, or SAP Data Services. Experience with Data modeling techniques and technologies a plus – Erwin (preferred), PowerDesigner, InfoSphere Data Architect.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Advanced skills in SQL, ETL, building and integrating with API, analytics products like Alteryx, conceptual knowledge of database modeling and integration techniques like MDM, using large and complex data sets analysis services and integration services.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
