Job Family Summary
Provides processing support and expertise to internal/external customers and business partners. Utilizes a wide variety of systems and media channels to investigate and resolve inquiries.
Job Description
Investigates, processes, or provides quality support of requests in support of customers and internal/external business partners performed under minimal supervision using documented procedures. Assists subject matter expert or leadership in other activities of moderate complexity, requiring independent judgment.
Tentative Start Date: Monday, November 11, 2019
Training: Training schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- First 2 weeks approximately and is mandatory. Due to the importance of training, no time off will be permitted during this period.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve the customer with compassion; Ensure that customer needs are met
- Handle inbound/outbound calls
- Collaborate in problem solving discussions
- Perform clerical duties: data entry, email, calendar management, word processing
- Properly document a claim file
- Provide back-up for office support functions
- Connect with customers or other third parties to obtain/provide necessary file information
- Generate/Send appropriate forms to insured/claimant for completion
- Process claims payments
- Assist in training employees demonstrating work processes for shared success
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Call center experience preferred
- High School Diploma/(GED) required
- Claims handling experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to problem solve
- Excellent time management skill
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer, typing and grammar skills
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Bilingual applicants fluent in English and Spanish encouraged to apply
