Job Family Summary

The Ivantage Agency Operations team is responsible for agent-facing expanded market processes such as commissions, program enrollment, agent termination, and book transfers. The team is accountable for ensuring that processes meet the needs of agents and various other internal and external stakeholders, including expanded market vendors.

Job Description

The Agency Operations Consultant independently owns and manages at lease one critical, recurring back-office operational process. The Consultant conducts regular analyses of all existing operational processes to determine efficacy and productivity, and contributes to the planning, development, and implementation of new operational processes for Ivantage.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management
• With direction, participates and contributes to operational process improvement projects of moderate complexity and scope
• Completes project tasks on time and as assigned
• Tracks own performance and project plan or timeline
• Communicates and presents project status to peers and management
• Ensures controls are in place throughout project lifecycle on individually assigned tasks
• Actively builds strong relationships with team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
• Compiles and analyzes data necessary for project work
• Solicits input and feedback from peers and leadership
• Considers expense management when completing project work
• Participates in the integration and delivery of planned changes mandated by Allstate that affect Ivantage

Process Design / Improvement / Management
• Owns, manages, and executes at least one critical recurring operational process
• With some direction, supports the development, design, and implementation of new processes of moderate complexity
• Continuously evaluates existing operational procedures and processes for improvement
• Understands internal and external compliance requirements and standards related to expanded market sales

Project & Process Communications
• Monitors due dates for the completion and submission of materials
• Edits and proofreads materials for content accuracy as well as spelling, punctuation, and grammar
• Composes both standard and special correspondences such as memos, letters, and emails
• Creates PowerPoint presentations that summarize key project information
• Attends meetings to present information and/or provide project status updates
• Answers complex inquiries from both internal and external partners and project stakeholders regarding operational projects and processes

Job Qualifications

• College degree required
• At least 2 years of work experience required
• Prior insurance experience preferred
• Prior experience in an insurance agency or brokerage strongly preferred
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Intermediate project management skills
• Ability to work well with and effectively lead others on a team
• Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Must have a dynamic, adaptable, cooperative, and nimble work style

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
