Overview

The Procurement Sourcing Specialist helps Management identify and execute opportunities to consolidate spend; reduce costs and improve quality/processes of AmTrust providers. The Specialist will work alongside the Sourcing Manager and will be responsible for the execution of projects within the assigned categories spend.

Responsibilities

  • Collects, and analyses benchmarks and reports on internal spend data
  • At the direction of the Sourcing Manager, assists in the development and issuance of RF(x) materials
  • Analyzes bid responses and makes recommendation to Management
  • At the direction of the Sourcing Manager, lpeads cross functional project teams
  • Works collaboratively with Sourcing Manager on the development and formation of strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Assists the departmental managers with reporting and analytics as requested
  • Develops Procurement presentations and reporting documents and present when requested to stakeholders and Management
  • Conducts total cost of ownership evaluations, contract reviews, stakeholder and business requirements and supplier performance review metrics
  • Leads negotiations with vendors/contractors on small to medium complexity projects to obtain maximum benefit to the Organization
  • Responsible for attaining savings goal for assigned categories/projects
Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business from an accredited college or university, with preferred focus in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • At least 2 - 3 years of professional experience in Procurement
  • Experienced in leading negotiations, customer service and consulting skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • Experience in leading small to medium complex strategic sourcing events
  • Ability to function in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Must have experience with procurement conceptualization and data analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise using various proven negotiation methods and the ability to critically analyze a negotiation
