Our client, through its operating subsidiaries, offers high-quality Commercial Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance products and services tailored to the needs of businesses and public entities.

We are looking for a highly capable Temporary General Liability Third Party Property Damages Claims Adjuster to join their team on a temporary three-month assignment and work in one of the following US offices: Alpharetta (GA) or Denver (CO). This role will directly report to the Claims Manager based in Alpharetta and is responsible for adjudicating general liability third party property damage claims.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Analyze claim forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage
  • Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly
  • Interview involved parties
  • Manage claims in litigation
  • Manage diary timely and complete tasks to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution.
  • Properly set claim reserves.
  • Identify, assign, and coordinate the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution.
  • Prepare reports for file documentation
  • Applying creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome.
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Processing mail and prioritizing workload.
  • Responsible for telephone calls and written correspondence to/from various parties (insured, claimant, etc.).
  • Have an appreciation and passion for strong claim management.

Core qualifications and requirements for this position include:

  • An Adjuster’s License in one or more of the following states: FL, NY, SC or TX.
  • Practical knowledge and skills to adjudicate general liability third party property damage claims of low to moderate complexity involving issues that require an understanding of a broader set of issues but typically not complex. Such advanced knowledge and skills are typically obtained with three or more years prior relevant experience.
  • A relentless desire to continually update your skill level through continuing education and self-development.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or industry designations are required.Please note four additional years of related work experience adjudicating general liability third party property damage claims beyond the minimum experience required above may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Exhibiting a natural curiosity.
  • Strong claim negotiation skills are a must.
  • An appreciation and passion for strong claim management.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and with empathy on the telephone is crucial. The ability to read, speak, and write English fluently is required. The ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently is not required, but is a strong plus.
  • Being extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to effectively prioritize your workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with some technical direction on more complex issues.
  • Ability to suggest innovative strategies to resolve claims to the best possible outcome.
  • A high level of energy and motivation.
  • A strong sense of accountability and pride in completing an excellent work product.
  • Good investigation, evaluation and strategic skills required.
  • The ability to articulate the financial value of your work at multiple responsibility levels both within Argo and at our clients’ business.
  • Strong PC skills, including extensive experience working on Windows and good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • The ability to be a team player that communicates and collaborates with peers to achieve common goals in a team environment.
  • Having good business acumen (i.e. understand how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Our client and our customers’ ability to be profitable).

Pay is $40+ per hour
