Provide administrative support to multiple underwriters (new and/or renewal underwriters), including monitoring email correspondence, and completing administrative tasks to expedite the underwriting process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform underwriting support associated with information gathering and rating of new business, renewals and mid-term changes.
• Policy binder preparation/processing instruction for issuance as instructed by underwriter for new and renewal business.
• Review and provide instruction to processing department for endorsement requests as instructed by underwriter.
• Loss Control Inspection ordering instructed by underwriter.
• Renewal solicitation/cross sell opportunities.
• Provide instruction to processing department for new and renewal accounts
• Fulfill brokers requests for, loss runs, copies of policies, copies of invoicing, etc.
• Agency support of general questions regarding renewal status, endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquires, commission questions, etc.)
• Reconciling and analyzing audits and adjusting coverage as needed
• Any other project that may be needed in order to assist new and/or renewal underwriters.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of insurance industry experience required. With specialized knowledge of Commercial Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, Auto and Umbrella.
• High School Graduate or GED as minimum education requirements.
• Proven research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations
• Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced atmosphere
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note)
• Ability to learn new software applications
• Strong Attention to detail
