The PIP Supervisor will supervise a staff of PIP adjusters and has primary ownership for results and claim outcomes. The mission of the PIP Supervisor is to deliver high quality, low expense, and timely claims handling in their unit while contributing to the overall success of PIP. They do this through working with their manager to diagnose business results, closely monitoring their operations and identifying issues to address, constructing tactical plans to improve results, and holding their operations accountable to specific objectives. They should manage performance actively and ensure that all employees are properly trained and have clear development paths.
Principal Responsibilities
- Monitor workloads, productivity and quality
- Maintains up to date PIP statutes and Company policies, current state regulations, and policy changes
- Address consumer complaints
- Train, coach and develop team members
- Develop, analyze, and prepare reports
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of PIP claims adjusting and a full understanding of auto claims investigation including complete understanding of Florida No Fault Laws and insurance case laws a must
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- AIS familiarization required
- Reliable with strong attendance record
- Advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Effective skills in reading and interpreting claim reports
- Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
- Familiarization with Microsoft programs including but not limited to Excel and Powerpoint
